Later, Mert called his mother on the phone to report the situation. The mother, who came home from work, took Mert with burn injuries to Dr. Behçet Uz Children’s Diseases and Surgery Training and Research Hospital. Despite the treatment, Mert lost the 17-day struggle for his life.
